It’s official…the Mets’ magic number is 3!  They give up two 3 –run homers before the National Anthem, they hit into a game-ending unassisted TRIPLE play (first time since 1927) and the guy that pulls it off has three hits.  Good grief…..but they did make offensive history….only team ever to begin the game with an inside the park home-run and end the game hitting into a triple play.  Gil Hodges is spinning counter-clockwise in his grave.
