Most mythologies break their most powerful dieties into three distinct gods or powers. Greek mythology had Zeus, Hades and Posiedeon. The Romans Jove, Pluto and Neptune. The Hindu had Shiva, Bhrama, and Vishnu. Even the Catholic religion has the father, the son, and the holy spirit.
